Mayor's Prayer Breakfast 2005

Here is a hearty group that got up early for the mayor's Prayer Breakfast in October.

In this photo we are sporting our new Argyle jackets.

Despite the neon lighting, here is a good look inside one of the many ballrooms at the new Vancouver Hilton.

In this photo we are waking everyone up for the opening ceremonies.

Woodland Planter's Day Parade 2005

The Woodland Planter's Day Parade is always well attended.   The band loves the energy of the crowd and really turns out.  There are over 16 band members in this photo.

In this photo we are wearing our green 'military' parade uniform.

Knights of Columbus Parade 2005

In the Fall we escort the Knights of Columbus in an annual  procession from the old Academy School to the Catholic Church downtown.

On the right of this picture you can see  the knights in their full regalia.   They are a colorful sight on their own, but when they march with the band, it turns a lot of heads.

Astoria Parade 2005

This summer we traveled to Astoria for the Fleet Parade.   It was a nice long parade that was well attended.

Lucky for this lady, she had her phone camera  ready to take our picture.  Or maybe it was the beauty queen that was in the car ahead of us?

After the parade we went to the docks and played a few tunes for the tourists. Astoria Concert on the Docks
And of course we had to inspect the pub. Astoria Pub Inspection Squad

Tribute to WW II Veterans at the Historic Reserve In Vancouver

In August 2005 there was a three day celebration  held at the Historic Reserve to mark the 60th anniversary of WW II.  We paraded down Officers Row and held a concert near the gazebo.

This audience is getting an earful.  You wouldn't normally want to sit this close to a pipe band.  Maybe they are true connoisseurs?

Pearson Museum Hangar Dance 2003

The Pearson Air Museum sponsors a dance in the fall inside their main hanger.   Our band has performed there several times in the past.  The acoustics are great!

This picture shows us in a typical circle concert formation.
